Anja is a Doctoral Candidate at the German Maritime Museum (DSM)/Leibniz-Institute for Maritime History in Bremerhaven, Germany. She studied Transcultural Studies (M.A.) at the University of Bremen. During her studies, she found her passion for Maritime Anthropology. In her Doctoral Research, Anja Binkofski explores the world of ship recycling in Germany and questions the different kinds of value influencing the emergence and expansion of the ship recycling industry.
